Why they got in touch
A homeowner in Aylesbury already had solar on the roof, fitted by someone else, and wanted battery storage added so that the generation was not simply exported during the day.
What we recommended and why
Where there is already a working solar system, the job is to add storage without disturbing it. We specified two Dyness DL5.0C Pro units, 10.24 kWh in total, at the side of the house, working with the existing 3 kW Solis inverter. Dyness was chosen on cost-effectiveness and warranty rather than on brand.
The install
There was a date to hit — the customer was going away. The G99 was submitted and approved on the same day, 19 May, and the install was completed in a single day on 8 June, before the trip.
The result
Storage behind an array that previously had none.
“Absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for making that happen.”
