Peak shifting
Once charged, the battery supplies your home instead of the grid — moving your consumption away from the priciest part of the day. How much that's worth depends entirely on the gap between your cheap and expensive rates.
Backup, where applicable
Some battery and inverter combinations support backup power during a grid outage — others don't by default. If outage protection matters to you, tell us up front and we'll specify a system that actually delivers it.
No roof needed now
Good for north-facing roofs, flats, listed buildings, or anyone who isn't ready for solar yet. Choose an AC-coupled battery and panels can usually be added later without swapping the unit.
Is It Worth It Without Solar?
Honestly — it depends on your tariff and how you use electricity, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. A standalone battery only has something to work with if there's a real gap between your cheapest and most expensive electricity rates through the day. On a flat-rate tariff with no off-peak discount, there's nothing for the battery to arbitrage, and the case is weak.
